Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using ErgBuddy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
ErgBuddy is a web application that helps indoor rowers track erg workouts, calculate pace zones from benchmark results, and follow structured training programs. The Service is available in a free demo mode (local storage only) and an authenticated mode (cloud-synced via Supabase).
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address. You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
4. User content
You retain ownership of the workout data you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you. We may use anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement and research purposes.
5. Health disclaimer
ErgBuddy provides informational training suggestions only. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting or modifying an exercise program. You exercise at your own risk.
6. Availability & modifications
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. For paid features, material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ErgBuddy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data (see our Privacy Policy).
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
